The Society
Society of Fisheries Technologists (India) is established to
promote the cause of fisheries in general and fisheries technology in particular in all
its aspects by
| Providing a
forum for fishery technologists to meet periodically for discussion, exchange of
information, findings and experience on different aspects of fisheries technology, |
|
| Encouraging original investigations on fisheries
and fisheries technology, |
|
| Publishing a journal called Fishery
Technology twice a year in January and July, |
|
| Instituting prices in recognition of outstanding contributions in India | |
| Such other means consistent with the aims of the
Society as the executive committee may decide. |
Membership shall be open to all persons interested in fisheries, fisheries technology and fishing industry.
